How Are Peptides Used In Aesthetic Treatments?

Peptides are used in aesthetic treatments to improve skin elasticity and enhance hydration. They are used in treatments such as:

Recently, peptides have become a topic of conversation in mainstream media. Online users are promoting the use of “grey-market injectable peptides”, such as GLP-1 and GHK-Cu, to address various health concerns, including skin quality, weight loss and athletic performance. Often, these peptides are bought from unregulated providers and can pose safety risks. It’s important to understand how to choose high-quality, regulated options to ensure client safety.

In this article, we’ll explore what peptides are, how they work in various aesthetic treatments and where to purchase safe, authentic solutions that contain peptides.

What Are Peptides in Skincare?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that play a key role in forming proteins such as collagen, elastin and keratin, which are essential for the structure of skin and hair. As we age, our bodies produce less of these proteins, causing the skin to weaken and fine lines and wrinkles to appear.

When applied to the skin, peptides act as “messengers”, signalling the skin to carry out important functions, such as stimulating collagen and elastin production. Peptides are used in skincare products, such as serums, moisturisers and eye creams, to improve skin texture and overall appearance. More recently, they have also gained popularity as ingredients in advanced treatments, including injectable procedures.

How Do Peptides Work in Aesthetic Treatments?

Skin Boosters

Skin booster treatments can be applied to the face, neck, hands and décolletage to address various skin concerns and achieve a youthful appearance with natural results.

Peptides play an important role in this process by hydrating the skin and enhancing its barrier. Skin boosters that include peptides are the ideal anti-ageing solution, as they improve skin elasticity and help minimise wrinkles.

Fat Dissolvers

Fat dissolvers are injected into stubborn areas of fat, including the chin, stomach, thighs and arms, to accelerate fat metabolism. Brands such as The Skinny Bottle incorporate peptides in their weight-loss solutions to promote skin elasticity and collagen production, which are essential for maintaining firm, resilient skin.

By tightening the skin, peptides help reduce the risk of sagging after fat deposits are reduced, while smoothing wrinkles and fine lines.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting a mixture of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and pharmaceuticals into the skin for rejuvenation, as well as into the scalp to treat hair loss.

This aesthetic treatment uses multi-peptides to target skin regeneration, enhance elastin and collagen production and increase hydration. When used to treat hair loss, mesotherapy solutions that contain peptides stimulate hair follicles and extend the hair growth phase.

Where to Buy Safe Peptide Solutions For Aesthetics

Aesthetic treatments that include peptides must always be purchased from a trusted, reputable and regulated aesthetics wholesaler.

At LPG Clinics Wholesale, all of our aesthetic solutions that include peptides are safe, sourced from reliable manufacturers and are CE– or CPNP-approved where applicable. We’re also MHRA-approved, so you can be confident any treatment you order from us is authentic and safe for aesthetic use.

What Are The Best Aesthetic Treatments for Under-Eye Concerns?

 • Skin boosters to improve hydration and skin quality, delivering subtle, natural-looking results.
 • Dermal fillers to restore lost volume and reduce shadows and dark circles.
 • Exosomes to stimulate collagen and elastin to firm, smooth and brighten the under-eye area.

What skin concerns affect the under-eye area?

Over time, issues such as fine lines, under-eye bags and dark circles can develop, affecting appearance.

Fortunately, a range of aesthetic treatments can effectively address these under-eye concerns, helping to refresh and rejuvenate the eye area. Treatments can address:

 • Dark circles
 • Under-eye bags
 • Fine lines and wrinkles
 • Hollow under-eyes
 • Puffy under-eyes

Skin Boosters: Best for Natural-Looking Results

Under-eye skin boosters are minimally invasive injectable treatments that hydrate, rejuvenate and improve the quality of periorbital skin. Typically formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA) and polynucleotides, skin boosters stimulate collagen production to enhance skin texture and elasticity.

Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters for the under-eye focus on improving skin quality rather than adding volume. This makes them an ideal option for achieving natural-looking results under the eyes.

Benefits of Under-Eye Skin Boosters

 • Smooth and minimise fine lines, including crow’s feet
 • Brighten the under-eye area and reduce the appearance of dark circles
 • Improve hydration and reduce under-eye puffiness

Dermal Fillers: Best for Restoring Volume

Dermal fillers for the under-eyes, also known as tear trough fillers, are injectable treatments designed to restore volume and improve overall appearance. Most dermal fillers contain HA, which helps smooth the skin, provide subtle plumping and fill in hollows that cause shadows and dark circles. Tear trough fillers contour the under-eye, creating a refreshed look without dramatic correction.

Benefits of Under-Eye Dermal Fillers

 • Restores volume to hollow or sunken under-eyes
 • Minimises the appearance of eye bags and dark circles
 • Improves under-eye contour for an enhanced appearance

Exosomes: Best for Rejuvenation

An emerging treatment in the aesthetics industry, exosomes contain extracellular vesicles that act as small “messenger molecules”, enabling communication between cells in the body.

When applied to the under-eye area, exosomes promote skin rejuvenation by stimulating collagen and elastin production, improving skin texture, tone and elasticity. This results in firmer, smoother and brighter under-eye skin, correcting signs of anti-ageing.

Benefits of Under-Eye Exosomes

 • Minimises fine lines and wrinkles
 • Reduces the appearance of dark circles
 • Reduces puffiness and under-eye bags

How Long Do Under-Eye Treatments Last?

The duration of results from under-eye treatments depends on several factors, including the type of treatment used, the patient’s skin quality, age and their lifestyle choices.

 • Skin boosters – Results lasting up to 6 to 12 months, as they primarily improve hydration and elasticity.
 • Dermal fillers – Results of up to 9 to 12 months, depending on the product used.
 • Exosomes – Results of up to 10 to 11 months, ensuring that clients follow up with procedures.

How Skin Boosters Achieve Natural-Looking Aesthetic Results

In 2026, we’re seeing a shift in how patients approach aesthetics. Rather than opting for treatments that make dramatic changes, subtle aesthetics and natural, quality-focused treatments are becoming the growing preference.

This shift is driven by a deeper understanding of long-term skin health, advances in aesthetic treatments, and a stronger focus on prevention and maintenance rather than correction. As a result, skin boosters are emerging as the go-to solution for improving skin quality rather than traditional dermal fillers.

In this article, we cover what skin boosters are, how they target common skin concerns and why they’ve become the perfect treatment choice for patients in an age of subtle aesthetics.

What Is A Skin Booster?

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that hydrate the skin, improve texture, elasticity, and overall appearance, among other benefits. Skin booster injections contain hyaluronic acid (HA), which is injected beneath the skin to lock in moisture and enhance skin structure.

Skin boosters can be used on the:

 • Face
 • Neck
 • Décolletage (accent needs added)
 • Hands

2026 and The Rise of Subtle Aesthetics

2026 will see many new trends in the aesthetics industry, and one of the biggest ones is the move away from dramatic body transformations towards a more natural approach.

What Does Subtle Aesthetics Mean?

Patients no longer want to undergo drastic changes to their faces and bodies. Instead, they demand a smoother skin texture, hydrated skin, slower ageing and treatments that provide natural results. Subtle aesthetics focuses on enhancing the skin rather than creating dramatic alterations.

Now, we’re increasingly seeing patients prioritising regenerative treatments that keep them looking youthful and healthy, while improving the long-term appearance of their skin. Skin boosters help achieve these goals without losing a natural look.

Benefits of Skin Boosters for Natural-Looking Results

Skin Enriching Ingredients

Skin boosters are designed to enhance the skin’s natural properties without significantly altering appearance or adding volume. HA is designed to attract and retain moisture, so when injected deep into the skin, it provides superior hydration.

Smoother, Firmer Skin

This increased hydration supports collagen production, improves elasticity and refines skin texture, targeting skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles and rough patches. With regular skin booster treatments, patients benefit from smoother, firmer and more radiant skin.

Less Invasive Treatment

Less invasive than dermal fillers, skin booster injections focus on overall skin quality and appearance rather than structural change, offering subtle, natural improvements that help skin look healthier and rejuvenated over time.

Our premium Kairax skin booster range is perfect for patients looking to enhance dull skin. Containing both high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, combined with polynucleotides (PN), Kairax skin boosters are guaranteed to deliver radiant results.

Achieve Natural Results for Patients with LPG

Our wholesale aesthetic collection includes a variety of quality skin booster treatments that deliver the natural, rejuvenated results patients seek. Many patients notice visible improvements in their skin after just one month of treatment.

Winter Skin Glow Up: How To Keep Your Clients’ Skin Radiant

With winter in full swing, your clients’ skin might be suffering. Warm central heating inside, bitterly cold weather outside, more indulgent food and drink over Christmas and other holidays leaves skin feeling dry, dehydrated and damaged.

In this blog post, we’ll talk through how you can support your clients’ winter skin needs, both in the clinic and at home.

7 Ways to Support Your Clients Skin in Winter

Seasonal Skin Consultations

One great way to get your clients thinking about their winter skin needs is to invite them into the clinic for an assessment.

You can look at their skin and determine what it might need, offering them ideas to adjust their at-home routines as well as changes to their in-clinic treatment plan to support their skin. For example, you might suggest a series of skin boosters over the winter months to help support their dry skin.

Focus on Hydration & Renewal

Polynucleotides help repair the skin barrier, encourage cell regeneration and reduce inflammation, making it an ideal treatment for winter dryness.

When combined with hyaluronic acid for deep hydration and skin plumping, they are a duo that leaves clients feeling supported and looking youthful.

Combine Chemical Peels With Skin Boosters

There is less sun exposure in winter, making it the ideal time for chemical peels. Gentle peels slough off dead skin, improve texture and reduce hyperpigmentation and fine lines.

Include a hydrating skin booster in the treatment plan for beautiful, glowy skin that lasts all winter long.

Repair With Microneedling

Microneedling is a great option for winter. Lower UV levels make it easier for your skin to recover from aesthetic treatments, including microneedling. When paired with hydrating products, it can help repair damage caused by rapid temperature changes, treat dry skin patches and rejuvenate the skin.

Incorporate Scalp, Eye and Lip Treatments

Your skin is drier in winter, including areas like your scalp, eye area and lips. Offering treatments or products that target these areas to complement your main facial skin treatment will make your clients feel pampered and overall more hydrated.

Support Skin Post-Treatment

After peels, boosters or polynucleotide sessions, educate clients on using products that will strengthen the skin barrier and microbiome. Ceramides, niacinamide, probiotics, etc., hydrate and support the results you’re creating in-clinic.

Advise On At-Home Routines

Complement your in-clinic treatments with home-care products so clients can maintain their results at home, and add an extra revenue stream. Think essentials like hydrating cleansers, rich moisturisers and SPF, as well as self-care heroes like moisturising sheet masks, lip oils and barrier repair serums. Our Korean skincare collection is the perfect option for this.

Give Your Clients Glowy Skin This Winter With LPG Clinics Wholesale

Whether it’s brands that you know and love or cutting-edge formulas and high-grade ingredients, our wholesale aesthetics collection features only the best. With dermal fillers, skin boosters, polynucleotides and more, you’re sure to find everything you need to support your clients’ winter skin needs with us.

The Top 5 Aesthetic Trends for 2026

Millions of people in the UK undergo non-surgical cosmetic treatments every year. What was once out of reach for most people, dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments and more, are now commonplace.

Whether it’s a young woman looking to improve skin health, an older woman wanting to age gracefully or a young man making his first foray into the world of aesthetics, the demand is growing.

So what are we expecting to see in 2026 for the aesthetics industry?

1. Male Aesthetics Go Mainstream

Male aesthetics treatments are no longer niche – in 2025, we saw lots more men in the clinic, and we expect that trend to continue.

According to PBL Magazine (citing the British College of Aesthetic Medicine), the number of men undergoing aesthetic treatments has risen by 70% since 2021. Reasons include the rise in overall wellness, male celebrities talking about the treatments they’re getting, and more men focusing on their own self-confidence.

We’re expecting to see more and more men seeking treatments like natural-looking dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments, skin health and regenerative treatments, and hair restoration solutions.

2. Regulation

Earlier this year, Scotland committed to stricter regulations for non-surgical cosmetic treatments. The bill will:

 • Regulate how certain non-surgical cosmetic or lifestyle treatments are carried out
 • Make sure people are safe when they choose to have these procedures
 • Require that some treatments are done only in suitable, properly registered premises
 • Put steps in place to ensure providers follow the right standards

The hope is that the rest of the UK will follow suit in 2026 with these tighter regulations to make it safer for people to get the treatments that they want. The UK government has already committed to introducing a licensing scheme for clinics offering Botox and dermal fillers, so we expect to see more regulations like this.

3. Regenerative Aesthetics

We’re moving away from overfilled lips and cheekbones so sharp they could cut diamonds. Instead, we’re seeing a move towards natural, subtle ‘tweakments’ that keep patients’ individuality intact. Kylie Jenner got (some) of her lip filler dissolved in 2024, and everyone else is following suit.

Rather than fillers, patients are now asking for improved skin health. Formulas that include polynucleotides and NAD+ are gaining popularity because they work at the biological level to improve skin quality. They stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and new cells to leave skin healthier (and younger-looking) long-term.

4. Personalised Aesthetic Plans

One-size-fits-all solutions used to be the norm, leaving people all looking very similar. It’s slowly disappearing, thankfully.

We’re hoping to see more tailored aesthetic care in 2026. Treatment plans that take into account patients’ facial features, skin type, preferences, and goals will deliver more individualised results. It ties in with the regenerative aesthetics trend and the growing desire for more natural results perfectly.

5. AI Skin Analysis

AI is everywhere, including in the aesthetics industry. While it could never replace human experts, clinicians are using it to analyse skin quality, looking at wrinkles, texture, pores, moisture, redness and more, to help inform treatment plans.

With products being released for specifically this purpose, we’re expecting to see lots more AI skin analysis in 2026.

What Is NAD+ and Why It’s the Future of Anti-Ageing

There’s a new aesthetic trend in town, and it’s called NAD+. It treats beauty at the cellular level. But what is NAD+, and why is it the future of anti-ageing and wellness in aesthetics?

What Is NAD+?

NAD+, or Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, is a vital coenzyme found in all living cells. It helps convert the food we eat into energy, which the body uses to repair ageing cells.

NAD+ transfers electrons from one molecule to another, participating in metabolic reactions that generate energy in our cells. NAD+ also helps regulate our circadian rhythm, helping with our body’s sleep/wake cycle.

How NAD+ Declines With Age

NAD+ levels naturally peak in early adulthood and gradually drop as we age. By middle age, levels can be 50% lower than the peak. This decline means cells have less energy to repair damage, leaving skin duller, more wrinkled and more fragile over time.

NAD+ and Aesthetic Wellness

NAD+ has been known to scientists since the 1960s, and NAD+ therapy has been available for over 20 years in the United States. Pioneered by Paula Norris Mestayer, NAD+ was initially administered as a treatment for addiction, and it was found that NAD+ effectively treats mental health conditions and neurodegenerative diseases as well.

In 2022, an article titled ‘The Role of NAD+ in Regenerative Medicine’ was published in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ journal. Among other outcomes, this research suggests that NAD+ therapy could complement treatments such as laser resurfacing or microneedling by providing cells with the ‘fuel’ they need for repair.

Author Dr Nichola Conlon also suggests that NAD+ could be critical to the success of cosmetic procedures, advocating NAD+ supplementation to support recovery, particularly in older patients.

The article also acknowledges that human trials are needed to prove that NAD+ truly makes a difference, as the research is largely based on animal studies.

However, this article helped bring NAD+ therapy to the forefront of anti-ageing research, and the reason why it is surging in popularity today.

How NAD+ Is Used in Aesthetic Clinics

NAD+ therapy can be delivered in multiple ways, depending on the treatment goal and client’s needs:

 • IV infusions: Rapidly restores NAD levels for full-body rejuvenation.

 • Injections: Ongoing maintenance therapy.

 • Topically: Recent innovations have made it possible to harness it in topical skincare, though absorption rates are limited, especially compared to injections and IV infusions.

Why NAD+ Is the Future of Aesthetic Wellness

There is a growing consumer awareness of NAD+ therapy, with celebrities like the Kardashians and Jennifer Aniston endorsing its use. This, plus the science-driven appeal and the fact that you can integrate it with your other, more aesthetic-driven treatments, means that NAD+ is set to be the next big thing.

The post The MHRA Crackdown on Illegal Botox Products: How to Protect Your Clinic appeared first on LPG Clinics Wholesale.

]]>

After a spike in potentially life-threatening botulism cases, with 41 people left seriously ill, the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) are cracking down on the trade of unlicensed botulinum toxins.

Anyone caught selling or supplying these products can face up to two years in prison and unlimited fines.

The MHRA Crackdown Explained

This crackdown comes as part of the MHRA’s focus on disrupting the supply of botulinum toxins to the UK. Since May 2023, the watchdog has seized more than 4,700 vials of unlicensed product.

Head of the MHRA’s Criminal Enforcement Unit, Andy Morling, said:

“Anyone involved in the supply of unlicensed botulinum toxin – whether through organised networks or informal sales from kitchen tables, hair salons, or via social media – is breaking the law and endangering lives. […] We are working across the country to identify those responsible, seize illegal products, and bring cases to court.”

The Guidance from MHRA

The MHRA’s advice for the general public is:

 • Always get a prescription for Botox or botulinum toxin from a qualified professional
 • Make sure that your treatment is administered in a proper clinical setting
 • Check that products are licensed in the UK by asking to see the packaging
 • Be suspicious of cheap prices

What Are The Risks of Using Unlicensed Botox for Aestheticians?

Aside from the legal consequences to an aesthetician of using unlicensed Botox, there are other risks to your business and your reputation.

 • Reputational damage. Reputation is everything when you deal in aesthetics, so using an unlicensed product is not worth the risk. Your clients trust you to use safe, high-quality products.

 • Voided insurance. Similarly, your insurance is based on your clinic only using safe and legal products that are not going to put your clients’ health at risk.

 • Client health risks. The biggest risk is, of course, your clients’ health. Botulism is a potentially life-threatening illness that can leave a person paralysed, and these unlicensed products are being linked to it.

How Can Aestheticians Stay Compliant?

Staying compliant will ensure that your clinic stays safe from the MHRA’s crackdown on illegal botulinum toxin products. These are the areas to look at:

 • Source products legally
 • Work with a prescriber
 • Documentation and consent

Source Products Legally

Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine (POM), and there are only a handful of brands that are licensed in the UK, e.g. Botox® from Allergan, Azzalure®, Bocouture®, etc.

Buy from MHRA-registered pharmacies and make sure you verify batch numbers before you use any products.

Work With a Prescriber

A registered prescriber is legally required for toxin treatments, i.e. a doctor, nurse, dentist or pharmacist. They must be properly trained and adhere to their respective regulatory requirements.

The guidelines state that the prescriber should only issue a Botox prescription after a face-to-face consultation, as this allows for a proper, thorough assessment.

Documentation & Consent

Keeping detailed client records, documenting consultations and ensuring consent forms are filled in correctly are essential to ensure that you are staying compliant. It protects you and the prescriber you work with from being sued for negligence or from facing a criminal conviction for assault.

You should also keep records of the product name and batch numbers of the botulinum toxin to ensure that you’re using a legal product.

You Can Trust LPG Clinics Wholesale

At LPG Clinics Wholesale, we don’t supply botulinum toxins. However, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, trustworthy products that are safe to use in clinical settings. We’re MHRA approved and listed on CPD as a reputable supplier.

The post Why Is Korean Skincare So Good? A Guide for Aestheticians appeared first on LPG Clinics Wholesale.

]]>

Korean skincare has taken the global market by storm. Projected to hit over US$3 billion in 2025, it’s not just trendy; there’s real science and philosophy behind it. For aestheticians, Korean skincare offers innovation, unique and effective ingredients, and a holistic approach to skin health.

In this blog post, we’ll discover what makes Korean skincare distinctive from Western equivalents, and why you should consider using it to supplement your treatments or in-clinic product offering.

What Is The Korean Skincare Philosophy?

The Korean skincare philosophy focuses on preventing issues before they arise. While most western routines look at quick fixes to clear or calm skin, Korean skincare prioritises long-term skin health – hydration, barrier support and early intervention.

This perfectly aligns with aesthetic clinic values, making Korean skincare ideal for post-care or for clients to use to supplement their routines at home.

Why Is Korean Skincare Innovative?

South Korean culture has, since ancient times, had a focus on appearance and beauty, with the idea that presenting yourself well is a sign of respect to others. It’s no wonder, then, that South Koreans spend more money on skincare than the rest of the world.

This has encouraged the Korean skincare industry to constantly innovate new technology and formulas to improve skin health – and make them affordable for all.

It’s estimated that Korea is a decade ahead of its Western counterparts. For instance, the use of polynucleotides for skin regeneration and repair was first developed by South Korean physicians, and it was launched in 2014. It’s only within the last few years that they have become available in the US and UK markets.

Why Is Korean Skincare Great For The Skin?

While Western skincare focuses heavily on using active ingredients like acids and retinols, Korean skincare is much more holistic and natural.

Brands tend towards unique and unusual ingredients like bee venom, snail mucin and centella asiatica – substances that work to nurture the skin barrier rather than potentially cause inflammation if overused.

Snail mucin, for example, is used by snails to prevent their skin from getting damaged as they move along the ground. For humans, it heals wounds, fights premature skin ageing and moisturises skin. It’s well tolerated by most skin types.

How to Use The Multi-Step Methodology for Clients

The 10-step routine is often exaggerated (not all South Koreans follow it every day), but the core idea of layering products to flood the skin with hydration remains highly effective for most skin types, and particularly for dry, sensitive or post-procedure skin.

Aestheticians can guide clients on their daily routines towards a three to five-step methodology to supplement their treatment goals and skin type.

Buy Korean Skincare Wholesale

Korean skincare is distinct because it takes a holistic approach grounded in skin health and proven results over time, not trends.

As aestheticians, we can draw on these principles to integrate Korean skincare into our cosmetic treatments or product offerings for sensitive, ageing or post-treatment skin.

At LPG Clinics Wholesale, we offer a range of Korean skincare products, from gentle cleansers and toners to powerful oils and serums. Browse the full Korean Skincare collection.

Korean skincare has become globally renowned for its scientific innovation, high-quality ingredients, and skin-friendly formulations. In clinics, this translates to effective products that not only address surface concerns but also rejuvenate the skin from within.

K-beauty formulas like Exoblanc are known for combining traditional healing ingredients with the latest biotech advances, such as exosomes. These are tiny cellular messengers that deliver regenerative signals to skin cells, and when paired with PN (polynucleotides) or PDRN, they significantly help stimulate tissue repair and boost dermal health.

Korean formulations also tend to be lightweight in texture but rich in actives, making them highly compatible with sensitive or compromised skin post-treatment.

ExoBlanc is not a retail skincare line. These products are designed to be used alongside injectable or needled treatments by professionals who understand skin biology. As a result, the outcomes are far more dramatic and long-lasting compared to standard at-home products.

Dermal fillers are the go-to options for restoring volume and smoothing the skin when it comes to non-surgical aesthetics, but not all fillers work in the same way. The two most popular types are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) fillers.

As an aesthetic wholesaler, we stock a range of dermal fillers, including the likes of Kairax, an HA filler range, and Ecolla, a PLLA collagen stimulator. If you’re considering which filler to go for, or which one is best for your clinic and patients’ needs, here’s a quick breakdown of what makes them different.

What Is a PLLA Collagen Stimulator?

PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) is a biodegradable synthetic material that’s been used safely in medical treatments for years. In the world of aesthetics, PLLA is known for its ability to stimulate natural collagen production, which helps to gradually firm the skin, enhance elasticity and reduce the appearance of deep lines and volume loss.

Rather than filling lines or hollow areas, PLLA fillers, like Ecolla, work more gradually. They encourage the body to rebuild its own structure over time, helping skin look firmer, smoother and more youthful.

What Is a Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler?

HA (hyaluronic acid) is a substance already found in the body. Hyaluronic acid is renowned for its hydrating and plumping effects, making it an ideal choice for adding volume and instantly smoothing lines.

HA fillers come in different viscosities, like the Kairax range, which help treat a variety of aesthetic concerns:

 • Kairax Fine – for crow’s feet, lips and fine lines
 • Kairax Deep – for shaping the lips, nose and forehead
 • Kairax Sub-Q – for cheeks, jawline and nasolabial folds
 • Kairax 50H – for body contouring and larger-volume treatments

HA vs PLLA: 4 Key Differences Clinics Should Know

There are a few key differences between hyaluronic acid and poly-L-lactic acid fillers. Here’s a breakdown of them:

1. Composition

HA fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the skin.
PLLA fillers are made from synthetic poly-L-lactic acid.

Other filler brands available include Juvederm, Lumifil and Restylane. or PLLA-based options, consider exploring Aesplla, iLLUMA and Sculptra.

2. Application

HA fillers are ideal for contouring and adding volume to targeted areas, such as the lips, cheeks, and tear troughs.
PLLA fillers are better suited for general facial rejuvenation and work well across larger areas.

3. Duration

HA fillers last between 6 to 12 months, depending on the area treated and the individual.
PLLA fillers can last up to two years, as results develop through collagen stimulation.

4. Results

HA fillers provide immediate, visible results. PLLA fillers work gradually, with results becoming visible over a few months as collagen builds.

Should You Choose HA or PLLA fillers?

If your client wants fast, visible results for a specific area, such as the lips or jawline, Kairax HA fillers are ideal. They’re also reversible and come in different thicknesses depending on the treatment area.

If they’re looking for natural, long-term improvement in skin texture and firmness, Ecolla PLLA might be a better option. It’s great for patients who prefer subtle changes over time.

Some professionals use both types of fillers as part of a combined approach to full-face rejuvenation.
